Job Summary: As a PRN Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in providing specialized care to patients with vision challenges. Your responsibilities will include creating individualized treatment plans, chart preparation, patient documentation, handling fluctuating caseloads, coaching and mentoring other therapists as needed, and assisting in patient intake and scheduling tasks. Additionally, you will work closely with our Optometrist(s) to ensure comprehensive patient care and assist with vision evaluations.

Essential Functions:

• Create individualized treatment plans under the guidance of our optometrist.
• Perform Low Vision Occupational Therapy Evaluations PRN
• Prepare charts and document patient progress before and after therapy sessions.
• Handle fluctuating caseloads of 10-20 patients with vision challenges.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to other therapists.
• Maintain current licenses through continuing education.
• Communicate patient progress, needs, and concerns with our optometrist.
• Foster a warm and caring environment while upholding professionalism.
• Assist the optometrist with vision testing during evaluations.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• Knowledge of basic evaluation and treatment techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word.
• Experience working with individuals with vision challenges.
• Understanding of the visual system, anatomy, and common vision diagnoses.
• Basic knowledge of primitive reflexes
• Maintain a MO and/or KS Occupational Therapy License (as directed)
