Warehouse Person

Department: Warehouse
Location: Richmond Hill, NY

Job Summary:
Meets customer demands by assuring 100% accuracy in all receiving, labeling, inventorying, picking, packing and on-time shipping of all ACS products. Perform with 100% accuracy all computer, data-entry and record-keeping functions.

Essential Functions:

  • Thoroughly understands and complies with all agency policies and procedures.
  • Thoroughly understands and complies with the requirements of the ACS customer.
  • Receives, counts and verifies again packing lists all product coming in for the ACS program; enter computerized inventory control system; notify supervisor of any discrepancies.
  • Produce or obtain needed labels with correct code numbers, verify accuracy of information on labels, and adhere to cartons.
  • Prepare customer orders for shipping:
    • Pick and pack customer orders from stock using computer-generated pick tickets.
    • Notify the supervisor of any out-of-stock and/or discrepancies.
    • Make the necessary corrections to pick tickets and enter into the computer.
    • Enter outgoing orders into FedEx computer system.
    • Ensure that orders go out on schedule.
    • Ensure that the supervisor is notified if there are problems meeting customer’s shipping requests
  • Maintain ACS warehouse in a clean, neat, safe and well-organized.
  • Perform all other duties as requested by management


Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • HS diploma/GED
  • Detail oriented and an ability to recall past information.
  • Warehouse experience preferred
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate computer systems and scanners.
  • High motor skills and the ability to operate in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to work and communicate well with others in a cross-functional team environment.


Working Conditions:

  • Consistent lifting of 20 – 100 pounds.
  • Pulling and pushing pallets with hand jacks.
  • Carrying boxes up and down ladders.
  • Willingness to get hands dirty.

Salary:

  • $16.50/hr and up based on experience
